Project Background

The earlier version of wzk.icu was a static HTML and CSS site. It was simple, but hard to maintain, inconvenient for writing, and weak for SEO.

This rebuild turns the site into a sustainable personal technical portal powered by Astro 6 and Markdown content.

Goals

The project is designed around a few clear goals:

  • Write blog posts with Markdown
  • Present projects in a structured and searchable way
  • Keep the site static, fast, and easy to deploy
  • Improve SEO, bilingual discovery, and AI-search readability
  • Avoid heavy runtime dependencies, databases, and unnecessary backend services
  • Connect articles, series, tags, FAQ, project maps, and llms.txt into a long-term public work system

Technical Choices

Astro is a good fit because it generates static HTML, works well with content collections, and keeps client-side JavaScript minimal. Bun is used as the package manager and build runtime for a faster local workflow.

The site also includes structured metadata, sitemap generation, RSS feeds, Open Graph images, bilingual routes, project grouping, and llms.txt files for AI-oriented discovery.

Current State

The framework, bilingual blog system, project map, tag governance, RSS, sitemap, FAQ JSON-LD, and llms.txt are in place. The next stage is to keep refining core content, project evidence, English pages, and GEO-friendly structure.

Relationship with Other Projects

wzk.icu is the main entry point. It explains the personal positioning, organizes articles, connects the project map, and receives search traffic. AscendLab, the AI Voice Module, AI Infra Handbook, stop-slop-zh, the code generator, and TeslaMate become long-term public records through this site.
