stop-slop-zh is a Chinese AI writing anti-slop rule project. It collects expressions that look fluent but feel vague, mechanical, over-templated, or too obviously generated.
The goal is not to ban AI writing. The goal is to make AI-assisted Chinese content more concrete, restrained, informative, and closer to real human judgment.
Why It Exists
The most common issue in AI writing is not grammar. It is texture:
- Generic openings and grand closing paragraphs.
- Overused abstract words and empty slogans.
- Mechanical transitions and symmetrical lists that fake depth.
- Simple ideas rewritten as over-packaged marketing copy.
Telling a model to “write naturally” is too vague. A reusable rule list with examples and replacement suggestions is much easier to apply.
What It Contains
- Common Chinese AI-flavored expressions.
- Template sentence patterns and alternative wording.
- Checks for newsletters, blogs, product copy, and technical writing.
- Quality constraints that can be reused in prompts, review scripts, and editorial workflows.
Current State
The project is maintained as a rule repository. It can be combined with writing prompts, content review scripts, editorial checklists, and blog writing workflows.
Possible Extensions
It may later evolve into a Claude / ChatGPT Skill, a content lint script, a pre-publish blog check, or a Chinese technical writing review workflow. These are future directions, not completed product capabilities.
